StructureCraft is a structural engineering and timber construction firm with a global footprint and a focus on mass timber and innovative structures. We seek a Senior Associate to lead project engineers, drafters, and designers, collaborating with top architects across North America and Europe.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage multiple teams, and engage in client meetings, design optimization, and technical reporting to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Competenze

• Master’s or Doctorate in Civil Engineering (or related Engineering Degree).
• At least 12 years of structural engineering experience (min 5 years timber).
• PE, P.Eng., or MIStructE.SE is an asset.
• Experience leading design of large building projects with architects and clients.
• Knowledge of Canadian, American, and European codes is an asset.

Mansioni

• Concept scheming and sketching to create innovative structural solutions with architects and designers.
• Leading and managing multiple teams of project engineers, drafters and designers, and ensuring quality control with fabrication teams.
• Leading participation in client meetings (in-person and remote) and facilitating creative design solutions.
• Providing engineering reports to clients and advising on construction and design modifications.
• Performing concept and detailed structural design, including calculations and finite element modelling.
• Liaising with project management and site teams to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Visiting mass timber project sites to conduct field reviews and work with the install team.
• Preparing material and cost estimates for construction budgets.
• Mentoring junior engineers and expanding technical knowledge base.
• Presenting at conferences, lunches, and seminars across North America.
