ORiS - Orbital Recharge in Space, located in Turin, Italy, is seeking a Senior Space Systems Engineer to drive the development of a laser-based Wireless Power Transmission mission. You will lead system engineering across the spacecraft lifecycle, manage requirements, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, software, AOCS, thermal, and payload teams to deliver a transformative satellite program.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Space Systems Engineering or spacecraft development programs.
• Experience in requirements engineering, interface management, and Verification & Validation activities.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and ECSS standards.
• Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Fluent English (C1/C2 mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering activities throughout the complete spacecraft development lifecycle.
• Define, manage, and maintain system requirements.
• Develop spacecraft architectures, interface definitions, and technical budgets.
• Perform trade-off analyses and support critical technical decision-making.
• Coordinate activities across mechanical, electrical, software, AOCS, thermal, and payload engineering teams.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities.
• Contribute to major project milestones including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and Acceptance Reviews.
• Identify technical risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Support stakeholders interactions and ensure compliance with mission and program requirements.
