SSC Space in Milan or Rome is looking for a seasoned Program Manager to lead complex space mission projects, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery from concept to handover.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years in program management within space programs, with knowledge of ESA/ASI practices and ground segment systems. Fluent English required.

Competenze

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in program management within space missions or aerospace projects, particularly with ESA/ASI or similar agencies.
Experience in design, development, and validation of ground segment systems (command/control, telemetry, and communication networks).
Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
Knowledge of project management tools and industry standards (MS Project, ECSS, PMP).
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Mansioni

Lead and manage complex space mission programs from conception to completion.
Serve as primary client liaison, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer requirements are met.
Oversee cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, finance) for seamless project execution.
Coordinate and manage the PMO team and external suppliers/contractors to meet deliverables on time and budget.
Organise and chair project meetings, technical reviews, and workshops with clear documentation.
Manage project economics, including cost estimation, budgeting, risk mitigation, and financial health reporting.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks impacting schedule, cost, and performance.
Ensure compliance with ESA/ASI standards and regulatory requirements throughout the lifecycle.
