Job summary

Proxify is seeking a Senior Backend Rust Developer to join one of our high-growth client teams as the technical lead for core systems. You will architect and build low-latency, high-throughput services that power the platform and drive the transition from legacy services to Rust microservices.

You will lead the shift to memory-safe distributed systems, leverage Rust tooling, and collaborate across teams. Expect ownership of REST/gRPC APIs, SQL databases, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud deployments

Qualifications

• Production-grade Rust experience with ownership and Send/Sync.
• Strong Tokio async programming and Rust web frameworks.
• Distributed systems design using gRPC, Protobuf, Kafka/RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend services.
• Lead memory-safe distributed systems with zero-cost abstractions.
• Perform thorough code reviews for idiomatic Rust and safety.
• Architect REST and gRPC APIs for frontend and mobile apps.
• Ensure testing via unit, integration, and property-based tests.
