Job summary

European Energy Italy is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to own the financial and commercial view of the Italian development pipeline. You will ensure each project has a robust business case, reflecting value and risk, whether developed in-house or via co-development and acquisitions.

You will work with development, engineering, grid, permitting, energy markets and finance teams from Milan. The role requires 5+ years in renewables with a strong financial focus, hands-on Excel modeling, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in renewable energy with a financial focus.
• Hands-on experience building and auditing project finance models in Excel.
• Strong understanding of the Italian renewables market, permitting and route-to-market options.
• Proven commercial and negotiation skills, especially with developers/landowners.
• Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reviews of the Italian pipeline across solar PV, onshore wind, BESS and hybrid projects.
• Prepare project cash flows and budgets with Project Managers to align assumptions and strategy.
• Build, maintain and review the screening model from development to FID, including capex, opex, revenue stacking and financing.
• Assess hybrid opportunities and how co-located technologies share grid capacity and revenue streams.
• Run IRR, NPV, LCOE and payback analyses to identify key value drivers and risks.
• Collaborate with development, engineering and markets teams to improve project economics and support investment committee materials.
• Negotiate terms with developers when assumptionsChange or timelines shift.
• Design and improve pipeline tools, dashboards and standard model templates.
• Track and report key project data: status, milestones, capex, valuation and payments.
