European Energy Italy is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to own the financial and commercial view of the Italian development pipeline. You will ensure robust business cases, realistic assumptions and commercial terms reflecting value and risk across in-house or co-developed projects.

You will lead financial reviews, model scenarios, and collaborate with development, engineering, grid, permitting, energy markets and finance teams to prioritize opportunities and support go/no-go decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, in roles such as portfolio management, investment, M&A, project finance, transaction advisory or business development with strong financial focus.
• Hands-on experience building and auditing project finance models in Excel, including sensitivities and scenario analysis.
• Solid understanding of the Italian renewables market: permitting, grid connection, incentive schemes and route-to-market options.
• Proven commercial and negotiation skills, ideally in dealings with developers, landowners or counterparties.
• Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and explain complex economics clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken (both mandatory).

Responsabilités

• Financial Review of the Pipeline: run periodic reviews across solar PV, wind, BESS and hybrid projects.
• Prepare project cash flows and budgets with Project Managers to harmonize assumptions and strategies.
• Maintain and review the screening model for Capex, Opex, energy yield, revenue stacking, financing and tax.
• Model hybrid opportunities (PV+BESS, wind+PV) and assess grid capacity and dispatch.
• Run IRR, NPV, LCOE, payback analyses to identify key value drivers and risks.
• Collaborate with development, engineering, and energy markets to improve project economics.
• Support investment committee materials and go/no-go decisions.
• Produce regular portfolio reporting for local and group management.
