NTT DATA Romania is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile apps. You will work with cross-functional teams to derive test plans and ensure high-quality software releases.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of software testing experience, strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript, and hands-on experience with Playwright, Appium, Selenium and CI/CD pipelines. English communication is essential.

Who we are

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, with a focus on test automation. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, create test plans, and contribute to the overall improvement of our testing processes.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools

What you’ll bring along

• Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience within software testing area

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript

• Experience with automated testing tools, such as Playwright, Appium, or similar

• Experience with Cucumber

• Proven experience in automation testing using Java for web applications and APIs

• Proficient in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven)

• Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools

• Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze log files, and work with developers to resolve defects

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools

• ISTQB (or equivalent) Foundation Level certification is desirable

• Knowledge of Scrum, Agile is essential

• Good speaking capability in English
