NTT DATA Romania is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop, and evolve modern web applications across the full stack. You will work with Python, FastAPI, React and TypeScript to build robust backend services, REST APIs, and responsive frontend components, while coordinating with databases like MariaDB and PostgreSQL.

The role offers flexible working options (Remote, Hybrid or Office), learning opportunities through sponsored trainings, and a collaborative environment

Competenze

• Experience with Python, FastAPI and RESTful API development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with MariaDB and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Knowledge of API validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Who we are

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join a client project and contribute to the design, development, and evolution of modern web applications. The successful candidate will have strong hands‑on experience across both backend and frontend development, with a particular focus on Python, FastAPI, React, and TypeScript. The role involves working across the complete software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, integration, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack web applications

• Develop robust backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI

• Build modern, responsive, and reusable frontend components using React and TypeScript

• Design and implement integrations between frontend applications, backend services, databases, and external systems

• Work with relational databases including MariaDB and PostgreSQL

• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data‑access patterns

• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability

• Implement appropriate error handling, logging, validation, and security controls

• Write clean, maintainable, well‑structured, and testable code

• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices

• Troubleshoot application issues across frontend, backend, and database layers

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders

• Participate in Agile development activities such as refinement, planning, daily meetings, reviews, and retrospectives

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

What you'll bring along

• Strong hands‑on experience with Python, FastAPI, and RESTful API development

• Experience with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and relational database design

• Knowledge of data modeling, database integration, API validation, authentication, authorization, and exception handling

• Strong hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES6+)

• Experience building component‑based, responsive web applications

• Proficiency in REST API integration, state management, and asynchronous data handling

• Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3

• Good understanding of object‑oriented design, clean code principles, and software development best practices

• Experience with Git, automated testing, unit and integration testing

• Knowledge of API design, documentation, debugging, performance optimization, and secure development practices

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; experience with Docker and Kubernetes/cloud environments is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Proactive, quality‑focused mindset with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
