Job summary

Proxify is hiring a Senior Data Scientist (Python) to lead data innovation for a high-growth client team. You will transform complex datasets into predictive models and deploy them into live cloud environments, bridging research and production software engineering.

The role emphasizes clean Python architecture, scalable data pipelines, and strong statistical rigor. Time zone CET +/- 3 hours; remote opportunity with global clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
• Expert-level mastery of Python data ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn).
• Strong knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, regression, classification, clustering, time-series forecasting.
• Proven track record moving models into production with Docker and microservice design.
• Proficient in writing optimized SQL queries and handling large data with PySpark or Ray.
• Experience with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, DVC, Weights & Biases) for tracking and feature stores.
• Hands-on with cloud data infra (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managed ML services (SageMaker, Vertex AI).
• Time zone CET +/- 3 hours; other zones not considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable ML models for business challenges.
• Architect and maintain robust data pipelines and feature sets across training and inference.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, PMs, and Backend teams to integrate models into APIs.
• Conduct peer reviews and promote production-grade Python design patterns.
• Translate metrics (Precision, Recall, ROC-AUC, RMSE) into business recommendations.
