Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals in Milan, Italy, is seeking a Project Financial Controller to oversee the financial management of key projects within the Finance team.

You will act as finance representative on project teams, monitor budgets, forecast cash flow, and prepare reports and dashboards. A university degree in Finance or Accounting and 5+ years of financial management experience are required, with IFRS knowledge and SAP/MS Office proficiency valued.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or Accounting (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in construction/EPC projects.
• Strong IFRS reporting knowledge and accounting for long-term projects.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is an asset.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the finance representative on project teams, working closely with Project Managers.
• Monitoring project budgets, tracking financial performance, and providing variance analysis.
• Managing project cash flow, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely vendor payments.
• Preparing and submitting financial reports, dashboards, and progress updates.
• Supporting the Country Finance Manager with reporting and financial insights.
