Brainfield Italia is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a growing deep-tech client in the PET depolymerization sector, located in Albese con Cassano (Como). The role focuses on process scalability and completing the Process Design Package in collaboration with R&D and Operations teams.

Responsibilities include experimental support, data-driven performance monitoring, and developing scalable solutions for licensors and EPC contractors, with emphasis on energy savings and process reliability.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a process engineer in EPC or with licensor background.
• Proven experience in engineering and management of chemical plants.
• Knowledge of key international engineering standards.
• Experience in designing complex chemical processes (reactor design, separation, heat exchangers, solids/slurry handling).

Responsibilities

• Support experimental design and identify potential operational issues, ensuring instrumentation validation.
• Generate and analyze data to monitor plant performance, identify bottlenecks and critical parameters, and propose tests.
• Support development of scalable solutions for licensors and EPC contractors.

For a growing deep-tech client company in the PET depolymerization sector, we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer for the plant of Albese con Cassano (Como).

The role involves responsibility for process scalability and completing the Process Design Package (PDP) in collaboration with R&D and Operations teams.

Responsibilies

• Support experimental design and identify potential operational issues, ensuring the validation of instrumentation
• Generate and analyze significant amounts of data to monitor plant performance, identify bottlenecks and critical parameters, and propose tests to find solutions and remedies
• Support the development of scalable solutions of interest to major industry licensors, primarily EPC contractors and other industrial entities in the sector
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure process improvements are communicated and implemented across the organization
• Identify and develop improvement solutions focused on energy savings, material and cost optimization, increased process reliability, and reduced environmental impact
• Collaborate with potential new suppliers and/or third parties to continuously improve proprietary technology and the production process

Requirements

• 3-5 years of prior experience as a process engineer in a related field, EPC or with other licensors
• Proven experience in the engineering and management of chemical plants
• Knowledge of key international engineering standards
• Experience in the design of complex chemical processes (specifically: reactor design, separation processes, heat exchangers, and solids/slurry handling)
