Danieli is seeking a Senior Process Technologist to join the HQ Process Engineering Office. The role focuses on advancing process models, collaborating with the automation team, and supporting engineering and commissioning for new steel production plants.

Ideal candidates have strong physics and automation backgrounds, with a drive for innovation and continuous skill development. International travel and long commissioning stays are expected.

Competenze

• Degree in engineering/technical field (e.g., metallurgy, materials, mechanics).
• At least 5 years of experience in the steel industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in steel processing studies and process simulation.
• Knowledge of main mechanical processes and fluent English.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with databases.
• Proficient in C, C++, Python or similar for model development.
• Experience with FEM (Abaqus) is desirable.

Mansioni

• Data analysis: analyze and optimize process parameters for Level 1/2 automation.
• Modeling: develop process simulations and models for online control and off-line sizing.
• Process guidelines: create and review process descriptions and operating guidelines.
• Commissioning site: liaise with Process Engineering and automation teams during testing and ramp-up; define rules for automation.
• Performance guarantee tests: lead testing remotely and on site; align on priorities and safety.
• Post-commissioning tasks: analyze operational data and reconcile parameters; capture lessons learned.
• R&D: benchmark technologies and propose process-control improvements and patents.
