Job summary

McKinsey & Company seeks a Senior Advisor for its Milan Private Capital practice to apply deep PE experience, advise investors and portfolio companies, and shape growth strategy across Europe and Italy. You will lead project teams, coach colleagues, and contribute to institutional knowledge across the investment cycle.

You will collaborate with global teams, drive client roundtables and roadshows, and build long-lasting relationships with investor clients across geographies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of PE investment, divestment, and portfolio management experience or equivalent consulting experience in PE-related engagements.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Strong investor-focused industry knowledge and large-cap / mid-market PE networks.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to distill complex information into clear insights.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to lead and coach project teams.
• Client advisory in private capital.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects for PE and other investors with oversight of teams and coaching of junior colleagues.
• Set strategy for growth of the Private Capital practice and drive new initiatives (e.g., client roundtables, roadshows).
• Develop and institutionalize firm knowledge across the investment cycle, focusing on European and Italian PE markets.
• Collaborate with other McKinsey practices to strengthen relationships and apply PE-centric insights.
• Build and nurture relationships with investor clients across geographies.
