McKinsey & Company in Milan seeks an Associate for the Private Equity and Principal Investors practice to support deal lifecycle activities for investor clients and their portfolio companies. You will perform targeted financial analysis, diligence, and value-creation work while translating complex information into clear recommendations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentors, and clients to drive measurable impact and leadership growth in a global, inclusive environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of work experience after degree.
• Experience in IB/VC/PE environment is a plus.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Based in Milan or willing to relocate to Milan.

As an Associate in the Private Equity and Principal Investors (PEPI) practice in Milan, you will support deal lifecycle activities for investor clients and their portfolio companies. You’ll perform targeted financial analysis, diligence, and value-creation work, translating complex information into clear recommendations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentors, and clients to drive measurable impact and leadership growth in a global, inclusive environment. This role offers deep exposure to PE/VC contexts, a culture of learning, and meaningful client outcomes.

• Support deal lifecycle activities for private investor clients and their portfolio companies (diligence, value creation topics, exit support)
• Assess market attractiveness and provide targeted information and financial analysis for potential acquisitions
• Deliver high-impact verbal and written communications of synthesized findings
• Act as a subject matter expert on topics related to investor services
• Collaborate in teams of 3–5 consultants and work with the wider McKinsey network
• Establish trust-based client relationships and communicate effectively with diverse audiences including senior leaders
• Participate in training to structure ambiguous problems and drive actionable recommendations
