Job summary

McKinsey & Company Italy in Milan seeks an accomplished Private Capital professional to drive growth and lead client engagements across Europe. You will build relationships with PE firms, distressed debt investors, and institutional investors, and coach junior colleagues.

You will shape the strategy for the Private Capital practice, manage projects, and collaborate with McKinsey colleagues across Italy to deliver exceptional results. Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience as an investment professional in a top-tier private equity firm or in the PE division of a top-tier management consultancy.
• Deep experience of PE firm investment, divestment and portfolio management activities.
• Deep, investor-focused knowledge of an industry.
• Strong consulting skills and experience likely gained as a consultant in a top-tier management consultancy.
• Understanding and network of contacts in the large cap and mid-market private equity industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Italian & English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work in Milan office as part of the Private Capital team.
• Manage small and large teams on projects for investors and coach junior colleagues.
• Set up strategy for growth and collaborate with colleagues to drive new initiatives across McKinsey practices.
