ams OSRAM in Lombardy seeks a senior engineer to drive analog/mixed-signal design for broadband optical communication ICs. You will lead methodologies, mentor engineers, and sign off on critical designs in a high-performance environment.

The role requires a MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of analog IC experience and deep knowledge of HF amplifiers, TIAs, drivers, and front-end requirements. FinFET/FD-SOI CMOS experience is essential.

• Broadband optical IC design knowledge with HF amplifiers, TIAs, drivers and RF front-end.
• HF layout knowledge is an advantage.

Your tasks

• Company-wide expert in HF analog circuit design for broadband optical communication ICs, responsible for defining methodologies and leading critical analog developments
• Lead design of high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits
• Drive innovation in transmitter and receiver architectures
• Establish analog design methodologies
• Lead technical reviews and sign-off decisions
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders

Who we are looking for

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering
• 15+ years analog IC design experience
• Broadband optical communication IC design knowledge, including HF amplifiers, TIAs, drivers and receiver/transmitter front-end requirements; HF layout knowledge is an advantage
• PLLs, CDRs, ADCs and DACs
• Signal integrity, noise, jitter and parasitic-aware design analysis
• Advanced CMOS node experience, including FinFET and/or FD-SOI, is required
