Zusammenfassung

Cloudera is seeking a Sr. Staff Platform Operations Engineer to design and operate our Linux-based infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will own deployment, reliability, and automated management of core IT services, building a scalable, secure foundation for engineering teams. You will drive IaC adoption with Terraform/Ansible, implement security-first practices, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across IT, CloudOps, Security, and Engineering.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 8+ years of equivalent enterprise experience.

Aufgaben

• Architect, deploy, and support on-premise and cloud-based Linux infrastructure and core IT services with high availability.
• Develop and maintain IaC and automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and Foreman/MaaS.
• Implement security-first automation, patching, hardening, and configuration management for compliance.
• Build deployment pipelines for IT infrastructure services using GitHub/Git and scripting tools.
• Collaborate with IT Systems, CloudOps, Security, and Engineering to design scalable solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation with documented runbooks and post-incident reviews.
• Create and maintain documentation for automation, audits, and compliance.
• Administer enterprise storage platforms (Dell PowerStore, Pure Storage) for performance and availability.
• Mentor junior team members.
