Mollie is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer in the Build team to maintain and optimize CI/CD infrastructure, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery for our European fintech customers.

You will oversee health and scalability of CI/CD systems, work across engineering teams and drive efficiency while upholding security, compliance, and best practices. This role is based in Milano and offers challenging growth opportunities within a fast-growing fintech.

Competenze

• Strong experience with CI/CD infrastructure, reliability and scalability.
• Hands-on with self-hosted CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Buildkite).
• Experience with cloud-native deployment and GitOps (Gitlab, ArgoCD).
• Proficient in Kubernetes and Helm; building optimized container images.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.

As part of our Developer Enablement domain, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the CI/CD infrastructure that drives our continuous integration, developer workflows and deployment pipelines, providing a foundation for rapid and reliable software delivery.

Join us as a Senior Platform Engineer within the Build team, where you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and optimising our CI/CD tools, ensuring stability, scalability, and efficiency across our platforms. Your work will empower our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software with confidence, enabling our Engineers to build products that will eliminate the financial bureaucracy for our customers.

What you'll ship

Oversee the health, stability and scalability of CI/CD infrastructure to support Mollie's product delivery.

Monitor and respond to outages in those systems to maintain high availability, reliability and operational standards.

Develop, scale and implement strategies, guidelines, and governance of CI/CD systems while future-proofing their architecture for security, compliance and resilience concerns.

Optimize and balance CI/CD compute and storage usage towards efficient resource usage while keeping developer experience in mind.

Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to CI/CD tooling with internal customers, working collaboratively with other engineering teams to minimize to maintain seamless workflows.

What you'll bring

Good grasp of CI Systems and hands-on experience with Gitlab or similar (such as Jenkins, Buildkite, etc.), with a strong focus on self-hosted operations.

Some experience with cloud-native Deployment and GitOps solutions such as Gitlab, ArgoCD or similar(Flux, GoCD, Spinnaker, Harness, etc), with strong focus on self-hosted operations.

Prior experience with at least one major cloud-based provider as well as Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.

Comfortable running, monitoring and developing systems on Kubernetes and using tools like Helm. You're also familiar with cloud-native container tools and building optimized images.

Good problem-solving and investigative skills, with a creative approach to tackling challenges using observability and debugging tools.

The ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively, and maintain clear documentation while having a customer empathy mindset towards product and application engineers.

Nice to have

Previous experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Previous experience building and operating continuous integration with Gitlab.

Previous experience building and operating deployment platforms based on ArgoCD.
