Mollie is evolving its CI/CD infrastructure to support rapid software delivery and reliability. Join as a Senior Platform Engineer to maintain, scale and optimise our CI/CD tools across platforms, empowering engineers to build payment and financial services products with confidence.

You will work on health monitoring, outages response, and governance of CI/CD systems while focusing on security, compliance and efficient resource usage.

Competenze

• Experience with CI systems and self-hosted deployment and GitLab or similar.
• Hands-on with cloud-native deployment and GitOps tooling.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes (Helm).
• Strong problem solving, observability and debugging skills.

Mollie is evolving from a payment processor into a full financial services provider, and our infrastructure needs to be as ambitious as our vision.As part of our Developer Enablement domain, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the CI/CD infrastructure that drives our continuous integration, developer workflows and deployment pipelines, providing a foundation for rapid and reliable software delivery.Join us as a Senior Platform Engineer within the Build team, where you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and optimising our CI/CD tools, ensuring stability, scalability, and efficiency across our platforms. Your work will empower our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software with confidence, enabling our Engineers to build products that will eliminate the financial bureaucracy for our customers.

What you'll ship

• Oversee the health, stability and scalability of CI/CD infrastructure to support Mollie's product delivery.
• Monitor and respond to outages in those systems to maintain high availability, reliability and operational standards.
• Develop, scale and implement strategies, guidelines, and governance of CI/CD systems while future-proofing their architecture for security, compliance and resilience concerns.
• Optimize and balance CI/CD compute and storage usage towards efficient resource usage while keeping developer experience in mind.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to CI/CD tooling with internal customers, working collaboratively with other engineering teams to minimize to maintain seamless workflows.

What you'll bring

• Good grasp of CI Systems and hands‑on experience with Gitlab or similar (such as Jenkins, Buildkite, etc.), with a strong focus on self‑hosted operations.
• Some experience with cloud‑native Deployment and GitOps solutions such as Gitlab, ArgoCD or similar(Flux, GoCD, Spinnaker, Harness, etc), with strong focus on self‑hosted operations.
• Prior experience with at least one major cloud‑based provider as well as Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform.
• Comfortable running, monitoring and developing systems on Kubernetes and using tools like Helm.
• You're also familiar with cloud‑native container tools and building optimized images.
• Good problem‑solving and investigative skills, with a creative approach to tackling challenges using observability and debugging tools.
• The ability to work cross‑functionally, communicate effectively, and maintain clear documentation while having a customer empathy mindset towards product and application engineers.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Previous experience building and operating continuous integration with Gitlab.
• Previous experience building and operating deployment platforms based on ArgoCD.
