Tailor&Fox – your HR Business Partner, on behalf of a leading multinational services company, is recruiting an Operations Area Director for a large food industry site in Rome, Italy.

The role blends urgent hands-on leadership with a medium- to long-term strategic vision, overseeing production, warehousing, internal logistics, and a ~300-strong workforce, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while guiding transformation.

Competenze

• University degree (Engineering, Economics, or equivalent – preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in Senior Site, Plant, or Operations Management role with full responsibility for operational performance and team leadership.
• Experience in large-scale, industrial or food production environments is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English.

Mansioni

• Lead end-to-end site leadership across production, warehousing and operations.
• Manage financial governance, budgets and CAPEX plans for the site.
• Define operational organization and production plans to meet demand and targets.
• Directly manage the site leadership team and set goals aligned with KPIs.
• Drive change, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Interface with Headquarters and report on performance across operations.
