Job summary

Alpitronic, a leader in e-mobility charging technology in Bolzano, Italy, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design innovative mechanical solutions for Hypercharger products. You will develop components, create 3D CAD models, and validate designs through calculations and simulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable technical qualification.
• Several years of experience in mechanical product development, ideally electromechanical products.
• Strong understanding of design principles, strength calculations, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD software; SolidWorks knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional and international teams.
• Fluent in English; German and/or Italian are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Hypercharger products.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and related documentation.
• Perform mechanical calculations and support simulation activities to validate design solutions.
• Select appropriate materials based on functional, environmental, and cost requirements.
• Support concept development, prototyping, testing, and product validation activities.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electronics, software, industrialization, and manufacturing.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical problem-solving activities.
• Support products throughout the entire development lifecycle, from concept to series production.
• Contribute to continuous product improvement and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers when required.
