ams OSRAM’s LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics is seeking a senior validation engineer to lead bring-up and validate RF, HF, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed digital ICs, from first silicon to production, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will define validation plans, characterize performance across conditions, analyze signal integrity and reliability, mentor junior engineers, and support customer evaluations and technical presentations in a fast-growing photonics environment.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in semiconductor validation, characterization or product engineering.
• Proven track record supporting IC developments from first silicon to production.
• Experience with broadband optical communication systems and SerDes interfaces.
• Familiar with RF, HF, analog, mixed-signal and high-speed digital characterization.
• Laboratory instrumentation including high-bandwidth test equipment.

• Lead bring-up and validation of RF, HF, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed digital ICs.
• Develop and execute validation plans to verify product specifications.
• Characterize device performance across process, voltage, and temperature.
• Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of silicon issues.
• Define validation methodologies, measurement strategies, and best practices.
• Support design reviews and provide technical guidance during product development.
• Establish correlation between simulations, models, and silicon measurements.
• Analyze system-level performance including jitter, BER, noise, and power.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, layout, packaging, and manufacturing teams.
• Support customer evaluations, qualification activities, and technical presentations.
• Mentor junior validation and test engineers.
