Job summary

Generali Italia SpA is seeking an IT Finance Management Expert to oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost governance within the Group Digital Technologies team. The role involves managing vendor relationships, contract renewals, and ensuring regulatory compliance while providing timely reports to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in IT finance within the insurance sector, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (C1).

Qualifications

• 5+ years total experience in the insurance market.
• Strong negotiation skills with external vendors.
• Solid IT Finance management expertise, especially on IT cost estimation and IT budget monitoring.
• Acquired knowledge and practical use of SAP systems is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent professional English (C1 Advanced).

Responsibilities

• Manage the IT budget and forecasts to monitor costs, support business planning and decision-making related to IT initiatives.
• Manage end-to-end relationships with information providers, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Provide up-to-date reporting and materials to Top Management (e.g., CFO team).
• IT finance management: collect and assess IT run/change cost estimates and monitor budget.
• Supervise purchase requests and procurement approval processes within budget limits.
• Collaborate with Head Office and IT services teams to formalize needs and manage contracts and renewals.
