Vertiv is seeking an Industrial Engineering Specialist to support and improve manufacturing processes across three production plants, focusing on manufacturability, equipment, tooling, and operational efficiency.

The role acts as a key technical interface between Manufacturing and R&D, driving productivity, quality and lead-time improvements while coordinating new equipment implementation and process controls across the sites in Udine, Italy.

Competenze

  • Preferably a Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Around 7 years of relevant Industrial Engineering or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial production processes such as sheet metal fabrication, stamping, brazing, TIG welding, CNC machining and assembly.
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD and CNC programming.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools including P-FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA and Kaizen.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.

The Industrial Engineering Specialist is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes across the three production plants, with a focus on manufacturability, equipment, tooling, process robustness and operational efficiency.

The role acts as a key technical interface between Manufacturing and R&D.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support optimisation of product and component design to improve manufacturability, quality and cost efficiency.
  • Identify needs for modification or improvement of machinery and production equipment.
  • Coordinate the development, set-up and implementation of new equipment and machinery.
  • Prepare technical specifications for machinery, jigs, tools and testing equipment.

The role covers Industrial Engineering activities across all three production plants. Process Engineering and Time & Methods activities are outside the scope of the position.
