Vertiv is seeking a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to join the Thermal Management mechanical Design team in Piove di Sacco, Italy. You will lead the development of new R&D products for data center cooling, working in a cross-functional group to deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Mechanical/Energy Engineering, 3–5 years in HVAC/chiller projects, knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration, and English at an intermediate level.

• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC/chiller projects.
• Solid knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration.

Mansioni

• Manage development of new R&D data center cooling products.
• Deliver fast, customer-focused responses on engineered-to-order projects.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance and cost-effective design.
• Lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones with cross-functional collaboration.
• Approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, BOMs).
• Meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems.
• Travel between Italian HQ and a production facility in Slovakia.
• Leverage strong HVAC experience with Thermodynamics and refrigeration knowledge.
