Job summary

Vertiv Group in Piove di Sacco, Italy, seeks a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to join the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within R&D. You will focus on chiller products and lead design efforts for new and existing platforms.

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering and 3–5 years’ HVAC/chiller experience are required, with strong thermodynamics knowledge and English proficiency. Travel to Slovakia may be needed. The role offers a competitive salary and local benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC/chiller projects.
• Solid knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles.
• English at intermediate level (written and spoken).
• Motivation with leadership abilities and willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of technical norms and standards; detail-oriented and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of new R&D products in the data center cooling sector.
• Deliver fast, customer-focused responses on engineered-to-order projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high performance and cost effectiveness.
• Lead design of new products or re-engineer existing ones; review CAD drawings, specs, BOMs.
• Ensure delivery against cost, quality, environmental and timing targets.
• Travel between Italian HQ and Slovakia production facility as needed.
