Job summary

RINA is seeking a senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Genoa or Milan office, focusing on complex infrastructure projects. The role centers on geotechnical analysis, foundation design, numerical modelling, and coordination with multidisciplinary and BIM teams.

The candidate will lead design work, supervise investigations, and contribute to technical reports while ensuring adherence to standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of geotechnical experience.
Experience with soil–structure interaction and deep foundations.
Proficient in geotechnical software and BIM workflows.
Excellent Italian and good English.

Responsibilities

Lead geotechnical designs from feasibility to construction support.
Perform analyses for foundations, retaining structures, excavations and soil-structure interaction.
Develop numerical models for static and dynamic analyses.
Prepare Geotechnical Design Reports, criteria and specifications.
Coordinate geotechnical work with BIM, structural and civil teams.
Plan and supervise site investigations and interpret data.
Mentor junior engineers and present progress to clients.
