RINA is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Genoa team in the Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division. The role focuses on geotechnical analysis and design for complex infrastructure projects, including soil and rock behaviour, foundation design, numerical modelling and BIM coordination.

Applicants must be registered as a protected category under Italian Law 68/99, have a Master’s in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, and a minimum of five years of geotechnical

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with project development and design.
• Mandatory: Registered as a protected category under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato).

Mansioni

• Lead geotechnical design from concept to construction support for complex infrastructure projects.
• Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining structures, excavations, embankments and slopes.
• Develop and interpret advanced numerical models for static, dynamic, and staged-construction analyses.
• Prepare and review Geotechnical Design Reports, criteria, calculations and drawings.
• Define soil–structure models using site data, tests and engineering judgement.
• Plan and supervise geotechnical investigations including boreholes and lab tests.
• Assess geotechnical risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with BIM, structural, civil, hydraulic, tunnelling and construction teams.
