Zusammenfassung

RINA is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Genoa or Milan to join the Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division. The role focuses on geotechnical analysis and design of complex infrastructure, including soil–rock behaviour, foundation design, numerical modelling, and BIM coordination.

The candidate will lead design deliverables, supervise site investigations, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with RINA standards and Italian regulations.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Proven ability to design shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures and slopes.
• Experience with numerical modelling for static, dynamic and staged-construction analyses.
• Ability to coordinate geotechnical designs within BIM-enabled projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead geotechnical design for complex infrastructure projects from feasibility to construction support.
• Perform and review geotechnical analyses and calculations for foundations, excavations and soil-structure interaction.
• Develop numerical models using finite element and finite difference methods.
• Prepare Geotechnical Design Reports, criteria, calculations and specs.
• Coordinate with BIM team to ensure model and design alignment.
