Illumina is seeking a bioinformatics-focused software engineer to advance genomic data analysis and produce robust production software. You will contribute to the DRAGEN platform and Illumina Connected Analytics, working with software, FPGA, QA, QC, and clinical genomics teams to deliver end-to-end workflows.

The role emphasizes designing computational methods, optimizing high-performance software in C/C++, and translating complex datasets into actionable product insights with strong cross-team

Competenze

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Bioinformatics or related field.
• Experience with genomic data analysis including cancer, rare disease, or population genetics.
• Strong foundation in computer science, statistics, algorithms and genomics.
• Experience developing novel computational methods for biological challenges.
• Expertise in NGS technologies and secondary analysis (mapping, alignment, variant calling).

Mansioni

• Design and prototype computational and statistical algorithms to extract signals from sequencing data.
• Develop and optimize high-performance production software using C/C++ and related tech.
• Analyze and interpret complex genomic datasets to support product development.
