MTS Systems Corporation is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to manage month-end and year-end closes, journal entries, and reconciliations for assigned entities in Italy. You will oversee manufacturing accounting activities, cost accounting, and variance analysis while ensuring compliance with Italian standards and VAT rules.

The role requires strong Excel (VBA) skills, SAP experience, and fluency in English and Italian.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Mathematics, or Business Informatics required.
• At least 6 years of professional accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (VBA a plus) and proficiency with SAP, Outlook, and statistical software.
• Familiarity with Italian accounting standards, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Analytical, numerate, and detail-oriented with strong deadline discipline.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Mansioni

• Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related processes for assigned entities.
• Own and coordinate month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including payroll, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other closing adjustments.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, including GR/IR, inventory-related accounts, and other key closing balances.
• Review and analyze AR and AP aging reports, perform related AR/AP accounting and reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding or reconciling items.
• Perform accounting activities related to manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis between standard and actual costs.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Support tax and VAT compliance, including quarterly and annual filings.
• Coordinate year-end specific activities such as actuarial and pension provisions and transfer pricing adjustments.
• Identify and drive improvements to closing processes, internal controls, and efficiency.
