WeHunt is seeking a Senior Finance Specialist based in Milan to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team. The role blends hands-on operational responsibilities with strategic support, contributing to the company’s financial management and development across international markets.

The successful candidate will lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow monitoring and treasury activities, while collaborating with senior management on strategic projects and internal controls.

Competenze

• 5–6 years of experience in Finance, preferably in structured companies, entrepreneurial SMEs or consulting firms.
• Strong knowledge of management control, treasury and accounting.
• Proven experience in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of tax-related matters and key financial and tax deadlines.
• Experience managing complex financial situations and/or payment and instalment plans would be considered a strong plus.

For an independent Italian company operating in the fashion & luxury sector, characterized by a strong brand identity and an entrepreneurial, family-owned management structure, we are looking for a Senior Finance Specialist.

Based in Milan, the company operates across major international markets and is currently going through a phase of growth and international expansion, with several new development projects underway.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic, lean and entrepreneurial environment, taking on a transversal role with significant exposure to Senior Management. The position combines hands-on operational responsibilities with strategic support, contributing to the overall financial management and development of the company.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting;
• Preparation and analysis of financial and management reporting;
• Cash flow monitoring and treasury management;
• Managing relationships with banks, financial institutions and external advisors;
• Supervising accounting, tax activities and month/year-end closing processes;
• Monitoring the accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles, including payment schedules and outstanding balances;
• Cost analysis and monitoring of variances against budget and forecast;
• Managing and monitoring payment plans, instalment arrangements, repayment schedules and tax deadlines;
• Supporting Senior Management in financial and business assessments and strategic development projects;

Requirements

• 5–6 years of experience in Finance, preferably gained within structured companies, entrepreneurial SMEs or consulting firms;
• Strong knowledge of management control, treasury and accounting;
• Proven experience in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting;
• Good knowledge of tax-related matters and key financial and tax deadlines;
• Experience managing complex financial situations and/or payment and instalment plans would be considered a strong plus;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/financial management systems;
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Previous experience in the fashion & luxury sector is a strong plus. Candidates coming from hospitality or consulting, who are interested in moving into an in-house role, will also be positively considered.

The ideal candidate is autonomous, hands-on and pragmatic, with the ability to remain calm and focused when managing critical situations. They should be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, have strong business acumen and be highly motivated to take on a broad, cross-functional role with significant responsibility and exposure to management.

• Salary: up to €50,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience
• Contract: Italian Commerce Collective Agreement (CCNL Commercio) / freelance collaboration on a VAT basis
