Vers, a management company serving a private family office with a diversified real estate portfolio across Tuscany and Northern Italy, is expanding its Finance function. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and administrative activities across several entities, support financial reporting and ensure tax/compliance.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Finance Director with interaction across external accountants and tax advisors.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of accounting, administration or audit experience.
• Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC) and IFRS.
• Experience with multiple companies or legal entities and strong Excel/reporting skills.

Mansioni

• Oversee the general accounting activities of multiple companies and legal entities.
• Review the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate and oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll payments.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting on an accrual basis.
• Manage reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and adjusting journal entries.
• Ensure alignment between statutory accounting under Italian GAAP (OIC) and management reporting.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors and auditors.
• Monitor tax and statutory compliance across the different entities.
• Support treasury activities and payment processes.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and external audit activities.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting, administrative and ERP processes.
• Support the Finance Director with financial reporting and analysis.

We are a management company acting on behalf of a private family office, with a diversified real estate portfolio across Tuscany and Northern Italy, including hospitality assets, residential developments and other real estate investments.

As the portfolio continues to grow and become increasingly institutionalised, we are strengthening our Finance function and developing solid, efficient and structured accounting and reporting processes.

The Role

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will oversee the accounting and administrative activities of several group entities, support periodic financial reporting and ensure the proper management of tax and statutory requirements.

This is a hands‑on and operational role, with regular interaction with the Finance Director, management, external accountants, tax advisors and local administrative teams.

The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple legal entities and different asset classes within a dynamic and growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the general accounting activities of multiple companies and legal entities.
• Review the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, administration or audit.
• Solid knowledge of general accounting and Italian GAAP (OIC).
• Good knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience working with multiple companies or legal entities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Good understanding of Italian tax requirements, particularly VAT.
• Good professional knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• CPA or ACCA qualification, or currently pursuing the qualification, will be considered a strong preference.
• Experience gained within a Big Four firm, audit firm or structured professional services environment will be considered a strong plus.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality, leisure or property development will be considered an advantage.
