Akamai Technologies GmbH is expanding its Enterprise Security Group in Milan, seeking a Senior Enterprise Security Architect/ESA to lead pre‑sales and architecture projects. You will drive PoCs, collaborate with customers on identity‑centric security models, and influence roadmaps while guiding teams and partners across security portfolios.

You should excel at presenting technical material to varied audiences, have deep knowledge of network security, cloud platforms, and Zero Trust concepts, and

• Experience in large, complex customer‑facing environments and technical sales cycles.
• Ability to present complex material to diverse audiences, virtually and in‑person.
• Knowledge of security concepts including zero trust, cloud, and network security.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Our Enterprise Security Group is responsible for developing and selling Enterprise Access, Microsegmentation, and Interaction Security (Akamai Workforce Protector, formerly LayerX) products, while helping customers safely adopt AI and SaaS by closing the visibility and control gaps that traditional network and endpoint security leave behind.

Partner with the best

As a Senior ESA, you'll be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale. Our goal is to navigate an evolution within customers to a more secure, dynamic and agile infrastructure.

As a Senior Enterprise Security Architect , you will be responsible for:

• Owning, shaping, and running proof-of-concepts, beta programs, and pre-sales activities with customers and partner teams
• Diving into enterprise architecture discovery and hands-on software configuration
• Strategizing with and assisting customers as they move to more agile, secure, identity centric security models
• Taking a consultative approach to solutions and solving challenges around next generation security transformation
• Educating and enabling internal teams and partners regarding our Enterprise solution portfolios to motivate effective sales strategies
• Influencing product roadmaps and ensuring the inclusion of business priorities and requirements of customers

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience working in large, complex customer facing environments with responsibility for the technical sales cycle
• Be able to effectively present complex and technical material to varying audiences virtually and in-person
• Have knowledge of network security, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, endpoint protection, firewalls, and other cybersecurity concepts
• Have expertise with Zero Trust security concepts and technologies such as Network Security, SASE/SSE, ZTNA and Microsegmentation
• Display good understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and cloud native technologies (Microservices, Kubernetes)
• Be fluent in Italian and English
