Job summary

D-Orbit is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer in Lomazzo to contribute to mission-critical real-time embedded software on our OBCs. You will work across the full software lifecycle, from requirements to integration, ensuring adherence to ECSS-style practices where applicable.

The role requires 7+ years of embedded software experience, proficiency in C, and English fluency. Competitive salary (€45,000–€60,000) plus variable benefits and flexible working options are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of embedded software experience in real-time systems.
• Experience delivering C-family language embedded software.
• Knowledge of USART, SPI, I2C, CAN, SpW, MIL-STD-1553 protocols.
• English fluency and degree in engineering or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end embedded software lifecycle from requirements to integration.
• Prepare flight software deliverables documentation for milestones.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and software suppliers across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in reviews.
