Job summary

Jacobs Italia is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Department in Italy. The role focuses on design of power, lighting, life safety, and plant distribution systems, leading teams and coordinating with Jacobs Offices.

It requires 10+ years of EPC/EPCM experience and knowledge of Etap, SKM and Neplan, with availability for business travel. The position offers a hybrid work model in Italy, with a competitive salary range and a clear performance-based progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design, specifications, construction and startup with EPC/EPCM firms.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Buildings sectors is a plus.
• Experience with high, medium and low voltage design and equipment is a plus.
• Lead engineer on medium projects or area lead on large projects with technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Power and lighting system design, earthing and lightning protection.
• Life safety and security systems design.
• Coordinate projects locally and with Jacobs offices.
• Adhere to local and international technical codes.
• Use Etap, SKM and Neplan for electrical design.
• Perform design studies and project execution activities.
• Own project schedule, progress reports, cost estimates and change management.
• Supervise junior and intermediate electrical engineers and designers.
• Ensure consistency and integrity of electrical design across the project.
• Design plant distribution and protection schemes.
• Develop detailed electrical specifications.
• Define work-share scope and execute per project requirements.
• Perform pre-commissioning and startup activities.
