Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect (EDW Migrations) to lead regional migration strategy and enable large-scale EDW migrations to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform across EMEA. You will develop scalable processes, create technical guides, and mentor a regional SA community to deliver successful customer migrations.

Strong background in legacy EDW systems, lakehouse architecture, Spark/Python/SQL, and multi-cloud design is essential.

Competenze

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, architect, or consulting role influencing executives and driving database modernization.
• Deep understanding of legacy EDW architectures (Teradata, Netezza, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, Exadata) and migrating workloads to modern platforms.
• Mastery of migration scope and progression from EDW to Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architecture including Spark, Python and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with public cloud design experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience collaborating with Professional Services and Global Systems Integrators.

• Lead regional migration strategy with GTM leadership and account teams.
• Develop scalable migration processes and technical guides for field teams.
• Build and integrate automated assessment tooling for migrations.
• Serve as tier-3 escalation for complex migrations in must-win accounts across EMEA.
• Mentor and scale the EMEA SA community to ensure delivery scale.
• Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering from field insights.
• Publish technical content and present at industry events to position the platform.
• Drive successful migrations and customer outcomes in mission-critical environments.
