Databricks in Italy seeks a Solutions Architect (EDW Migrations) to lead regional migration strategy and develop scalable processes for large-scale EDW migrations to the Databricks Intelligence Platform. You will craft technical guides, mentor regional SAs, and serve as a top escalation point for complex migrations.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed insights, author whitepapers, and deliver impactful presentations at industry forums, driving adoption and modernization

Competenze

• 8+ years of customer-facing experience in pre-sales, architect, or consulting roles influencing technical executives and migration strategy.
• Legacy Data Warehouse and modernization architecture knowledge across Teradata, Netezza, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, Exadata.
• Mastery of migration scope and progression from EDW to Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Experience with Lakehouse architecture including Apache Spark, Python and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong public cloud architecting with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience collaborating with Professional Services and Global Systems Integrators to standardize migration delivery.

• Lead regional migration strategy and drive adoption across EMEA with account teams.
• Develop programmatic and scalable migration processes and technical guides for field teams.
• Build and integrate automated assessment tooling from customer engagements.
• Act as tier-3 escalation point for complex migrations in must-win accounts across EMEA.
• Scale presales migration practices by mentoring the EMEA SA and SSA community.
• Bridge field insights with Product Management and Engineering feedback.
• Publish industry thought leadership through whitepapers and high-impact presentations.
• Handle the most complex technical challenges in the migration product line.
