Job summary

NXP Semiconductors N.V. in Italy (Catania) is seeking a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer to lead the full digital IC design flow for complex SOCs, including RTL coding, synthesis, STA, formal verification, and power analysis.

You will collaborate with analog, mixed-signal and software teams to define interfaces, develop innovative architectures, perform verification, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to design documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital IC design.
• Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for synthesis, STA, formal verification, and simulation.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to collaborate across analog, digital, and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the full digital IC design flow for complex SOCs, including specification, architectural design, RTL coding, synthesis, STA, formal verification, and power analysis.
• Collaborate with analog, mixed-signal, and software teams to define interfaces and optimize system performance.
• Develop innovative digital architectures and design methodologies to meet performance, power, and area targets.
• Perform verification using simulation, formal verification, and hardware emulation.
• Participate in post-silicon validation and debug activities to ensure product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in design practices.
• Create detailed design documentation, including specs, test plans, and design reviews.
