The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of industrial procurement experience, is fluent in Italian and English, and possesses strong office skills. This full-time role is based in Bologna, Italy.

Senior Buyer – Renewables

Role summary

The ideal candidate is tasked with carrying out all company operations related to commercial purchases and serves as the company's representative during the negotiation and closing phases of an acquisition. This role includes responsibility for the procurement of goods and services necessary for the company. The candidate oversees the contractual negotiation, ensuring the quality and transparency of the procurement processes while securing the target costs and meeting technical requirements and plays a crucial role in a successful purchase, achieving goals quickly and determining the optimal time to close the deal.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as a company representative in the various purchase phases.
• Analyse the real needs of the company and, under the support of his manager, contribute to the selection of suppliers.
• Plan the steps to follow to proceed with the purchase of the products and services.
• Discuss purchase agreements or contracts with suppliers as well as with contractors to obtain products or services for the best possible price and terms for the employer.
• Conducting market research to understand supplier price changes and consumer purchasing trends
• Providing regular updates to senior management regarding supplier performance, cost savings, and supplier term amendments.

Key Requirements

• At least 2 / 5 years of experience in procurements of goods and services in an industrial field, preferably in the power generation, energy transmission and distribution or construction.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Complete mastery of Office Tools and Web research methods.
• A good knowledge of contractual and legal aspects will be obviously a preferential element of evaluation.
