RINA is recruiting for a Senior BMS Engineer to join its office in Genoa or Catania within the Civil Engineering Division. You will design and develop Building Management Systems for Data Center facilities across the full project lifecycle.

The role requires extensive BMS experience in MEP contexts, strong coordination across disciplines, and travel to project sites as needed. Fluent English is required for global collaboration.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in building engineering.
• Strong capability in designing and developing Building Management Systems (BMS) within MEP frameworks, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems.
• Proficiency in the design of critical electrical infrastructure for data centers, including UPS systems, generators, and redundancy configurations (TIER levels).
• Familiarity with EU and local electrical codes and building regulations relevant to electrical and BMS design.
• Understanding of EU Smart Readiness Indicator methodology, energy flexibility, and automation capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate across mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams and with clients and vendors.
• Fluent English.

Mansioni

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of Building Management Systems and related electrical infrastructures within MEP projects, especially for Data Center facilities.
• Develop technical specifications and all related design documentation across the full project lifecycle.
• Support construction, retrofit, verification, and commissioning activities to ensure BMS and electrical systems meet requirements.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure integration of BMS with the building design.
• Promote new technologies, smart building solutions, and automation to enhance system performance.
• Contribute to energy efficiency strategies and building performance analyses.
