Job summary

msg Group is seeking an experienced engineering leader to own the AI platform foundation end to end, delivering scalable autonomous agents for enterprise systems with a focus on orchestration runtime, authorization, auditability, and secure integration layers.

You will collaborate with client IT/security to pass reviews, build reusable platform services, and ensure governance and observability at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production backend systems.
• Expert Python with API/data model design and long-running stateful services.
• Experience with agent/workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Strong integration background: REST, SOAP, message queues, file-based interfaces.
• Cloud and DevOps depth: containers, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, secrets handling, observability.
• Delivery experience under compliance constraints: auditability, access control, data residency, change management.
• Ability to work with client IT and security teams to get designs signed off.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI platform foundation end to end (orchestration runtime, state/persistence, retries, long-running execution).
• Design/build the authorization layer with replayable audit records.
• Develop human-in-the-loop workflows (approval/escalation interfaces).
• Create and maintain integration layer to ERP/CRM/document stores/data platforms via adapters.
• Manage infrastructure, CI/CD, IaC, secrets, networking, observability, and disaster recovery.
• Build test/evaluation harness for measurable agent behavior and regressions.
• Maintain accurate platform inventory (agents, ownership, versions, permissions) and rapid stop mechanisms.
• Provide guardrails (prompt injection defense, output validation, PII redaction) as reusable platform services.
• Collaborate with client IT/security to secure designs and establish engineering standards.

Overview

In this role you own the AI platform foundation end to end, enabling scalable autonomous agents within enterprise systems. You design the orchestration runtime, authorization, auditability, and integration layers to support production deployments. You work with client IT and security to ensure designs pass security reviews and audits. You build reusable platform services that reduce future project rework and enable business users to approve or correct agent proposals. You operate across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and disaster recovery to deliver reliable, auditable automation at scale.
