Job summary

Eaton’s Mobility Group in Italy seeks a Product Engineer to develop valvetrain solutions for industry-leading automotive manufacturers. You will work within the Valves Product Engineering team on complex projects from prototype to production timelines.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years automotive product development experience, strong design skills, and fluency in English. Travel up to 30% is required as you engage with suppliers and OEM teams.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of experience in product development, preferably automotive.
• Solid understanding of valvetrain technologies and mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, validate, and industrialize valvetrain components from prototype through serial production.
• Translate customer specifications into engineering deliverables, validation plans, and development activities.
• Act as a technical interface with suppliers and OEM engineering teams across Italy and Western Europe.
• Support prototype builds, prepare technical documentation and engineering reports, and present results to customers and Eaton leadership.
• Track project progress and report activities to the Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer.
