Job summary

Eaton in Italy's Mobility Group is seeking a Product Engineer to join the Valves Product Engineering team. You will work on technically complex valve and valve actuation projects for global automakers, delivering high-performance solutions within tight timelines.

The role requires a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and at least three years in automotive product development, plus strong design, drawing and validation skills.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years in automotive product development.
• Experience designing and validating valvetrain components is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Join a multicultural, cross‑functional engineering team developing valvetrain technologies.
• Design, analyze, validate, and industrialize valvetrain components from prototype through serial production.
• Ensure component functionality, durability, manufacturability, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Translate customer specifications into engineering deliverables, validation plans, and development activities.
• Act as a technical interface with suppliers and OEM engineering teams across Italy and Western Europe.
• Support prototype builds, prepare technical documentation and engineering reports, and present results to customers and Eaton leadership.
• Contribute to system design, validation, and the development of products across Eaton’s portfolio, including eMobility solutions.
• Track project progress and report activities to the Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer.
• Travel up to 30%.
