Jobgether, listing this senior role on behalf of a partner company, seeks an experienced Senior Android Developer in Italy to work remotely within an international team. You will build native Android apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Views, with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive design.

You will implement TalkBack support, WCAG-aligned accessibility features, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, accessible mobile experiences for diverse users.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in native Android development.
• Strong practical knowledge of Kotlin.
• Commercial experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views.
• Extensive hands‑on experience implementing accessibility features in native Android applications.
• Strong practical experience using TalkBack.
• Experience with Android Accessibility APIs and/or Compose Semantics.
• Proven experience implementing content descriptions, accessibility roles and states, and accessibility focus management.
• Experience supporting scalable text, accessible font sizes, optimised touch targets, and accessible navigation.
• Practical experience conducting accessibility testing, particularly with TalkBack.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, ideally including WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2.
• Good English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international team.

Join a remote, international team as a Senior Android Developer, building and enhancing native Android applications with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive design. You will leverage Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Views to deliver reliable, high-performing mobile experiences. Your work will help ensure that applications are intuitive and accessible to users with diverse needs and abilities. Accountabilities:

As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust native Android applications while ensuring that accessibility is integrated throughout the development lifecycle. Your main responsibilities will include:

The following qualifications and skills are required:
