Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior iOS Developer (Swift) based in Italy. You will build native mobile applications with a strong focus on accessibility, VoiceOver support, and WCAG-aligned design to serve a diverse user base.

In this remote, international role you will use Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit to deliver high‑quality features, optimize performance, and implement iOS accessibility APIs and Dynamic Type.

Responsibilities

• Native iOS development: Develop, maintain, and enhance native iOS applications using Swift, delivering new features and improving existing functionality.
• UI development: Build and optimize user interfaces using SwiftUI and/or UIKit, ensuring consistency, responsiveness, and a high-quality user experience.

As a Senior iOS Developer, you will play a key role in building and enhancing a native mobile application with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive design. You will leverage your expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit to deliver reliable, high-performance features that meet the needs of a diverse user base. A central part of your work will involve implementing advanced iOS accessibility solutions, ensuring seamless VoiceOver support, and optimizing interfaces for users with different accessibility requirements. You will contribute to accessibility testing, identify usability barriers, and ensure alignment with recognized accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and 2.2. Working in a fully remote, international environment, you will collaborate with technical teams to maintain high standards of code quality and application performance. Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in native iOS application development.
• Strong practical expertise in Swift and a solid understanding of native iOS development principles.
• Commercial experience developing and maintaining applications using SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in native iOS applications.
• Strong practical knowledge of VoiceOver, including testing and optimizing screen-reader navigation and interactions.
• Experience working with iOS Accessibility APIs and SwiftUI Accessibility features.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Dynamic Type and scalable font sizes to accommodate different accessibility preferences.
• Practical experience configuring and optimizing accessibility labels, traits, values, and actions.
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting accessibility focus management in native iOS interfaces.
• Proven ability to conduct accessibility testing, identify usability barriers, and implement effective technical solutions.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, ideally including WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with distributed, international teams.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
