Deltatre S.p.A. in Italy is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to drive end-to-end Android features, from designs to production code, across phones, tablets and TVs. You will shape the Android platform, optimise performance, and coordinate engineers across regions.
The role requires 5+ years of engineering, strong Kotlin and Java, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, RxJava, JUnit/Mockito, and excellent English. Remote work is not available due to local legislation, with CCNL Commercio alignment.
We are the tech company behind the media and sporting moments that matter.
Over four decades, Deltatre has grown to employ more than 1,000 experts worldwide.
We're trusted by the biggest broadcasters, telcos, media companies, sport governing bodies, leagues, and federations.
Our products, innovation, dependability, and people continue to redefine how the value of live and on-demand sport, film, TV, and news content is maximized across streaming, digital, data, graphics, officiating, and through marketplace strategy and growth services.
This role is offered on an Italian employment contract. Candidates must be based in Italy as we are unable to support remote working from outside the country due to local employment and tax legislation.
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will work end-to-end on user-facing features — from translating designs into production code to optimising performance across a wide range of devices and screen sizes. You will help shape the Android side of the platform, contribute to architectural decisions, and coordinate Android engineers across regions.
You produce work that others can build on. You take ownership of features from design to production, and you write code that holds up under real-world device and performance variability. You are credible on architectural decisions because you have made them before and seen them play out.
Across both levels, we look for people who bring rigour and curiosity to their work in equal measure. You take quality seriously — not as a constraint, but as a standard you set for yourself. You communicate clearly, flag issues early, and treat your colleagues' time and context with respect. You are honest about what you know and what you are still learning.
This is an environment that rewards initiative. If you are looking for genuinely interesting work on a technically demanding platform, alongside people who hold themselves to a high standard, this may be exactly right.
Not sure which level is right for you? Apply anyway and tell us where you think you sit. We'll figure it out together.
Salary starts from of €30,000 at entry level rising to €90,000 for those with significant relevant experience. Where you land depends on your experience, technical background, and the stack you bring. If your expectations sit outside the range, tell us anyway —we're happy to have an open conversation. Internal progression is assessed through a structured process combining a technical assessment and a competency‑based interview. The role falls under CCNL Commercio| D.Lgs. 96/2026
If any of these formats would be difficult for you, tell us — we adjust regularly and can usually accommodate.
