Job summary

EFSA via Randstad Italia is seeking an interim data analyst to join the Animal Health unit. A strong command of English and experience in monitoring data and statistics are essential for this role in a multicultural environment.

The assignment includes 3 months initially with potential extension. Office work is required at least 2 days per week, with possible remote work within Italy, including near Parma.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of English (C1 or higher).
• Master's degree in Animal Health, Epidemiology or related areas.
• At least 1 year of experience in collecting and collating evidence in animal diseases.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to work with others, analyze data, and drive results with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Support the Animal Health team in topics including vector-borne diseases.
• Extract and monitor epidemiological data submitted by external stakeholders.
• Present data in figures and tables.
• Perform descriptive statistical analysis.
• Write summaries of results and the statistical analyses.
• Write meeting minutes and contribute to planning to meet priorities.

Responsabilità

• support the work of the Animal Health team in topics including Vector-borne diseases such as Rift Valley Fever;
• extracting and monitoring epidemiological data submitted by external stakeholders to the Unit;
• presenting data in figures & tables;
• performing a descriptive statistical analysis;
• writing summaries of the results and the statistical analysis;
• writing meeting minutes;
• contributing to timely and effective planning to meet priorities and deadlines within the work programme of the Unit.

Functie-eisen

• Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level);

• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in collecting and collating evidence in the area of animal diseases and product treatments;
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel;
• Working with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results, good level of autonomy.

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension. Expected duration of assignment 18 months.

Salary: approx. €2326,00 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from Parma, Italy for the remaining days.
