SSC Space seeks a Satellite Ground Operations Manager to oversee ground network availability, scheduling, TT&C systems, and mission control infrastructure. You will supervise Ground Operations Engineers and coordinate with ground stations to ensure link availability and data integrity.

Candidates should have an MSc in Aerospace/Space or Telecommunication Engineering, 5+ years in ground operations including LEOP, strong English and leadership skills, and be on-call during spacecraft contact

Competenze

• MSc in aerospace/space or telecommunication engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years in ground operations with LEOP involvement.
• Strong knowledge of TT&C systems and ground networks.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams under time-critical conditions.

Job Requirements

• MSc in Aerospace or Space, Telecommunication Engineering or other relevant studies.
• Proven extensive experience - at least 5 years - in ground operations, including direct involvement in LEOP activities.
• Network and system admin, knowledge on mission planning and flight dynamics systems.
• Strong knowledge of TT&C systems, ground networks, and mission control infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ground segment monitoring and telemetry handling.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams under time-critical conditions.
• Advanced level of Englishand excellent communication skills.
• Experience in LEO missions.
• On-call availability during all spacecraft contact windows and outside the windows for the system troubleshooting.
• Ensure readiness of backup systems and alternate communication paths.

Legal and Security Requirements

• Applicants must be legally allowed to work in the EU and hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
• Copy of passport and degree(s) certificate.
• Good conduct certificate from the country where currently resident.
• Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference checks.
