Arsenalia is looking for an experienced SAP SysOps or System Administrator to manage the SAP infrastructure architecture, ensuring optimal performance across environments. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in key SAP tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP infrastructure architecture and deployment tasks.
• Handle software lifecycle: patching, updates, and maintenance.
• Administer, monitor and optimise SAP performance across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Install, support and maintain SAP systems.
• Support SAP system upgrades, migrations and landscape transformations.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies for SAP environments.
• Monitor system logs and performance metrics to ensure stability.
• Coordinate with development and functional teams for issue resolution and system improvements.
• Apply best practices for SAP Basis administration and system tuning.
• Document configurations, procedures and incident resolutions.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience as an SAP SysOps or SAP System Administrator.
• Ability to understand client needs, define architectural frameworks and draft Statements of Work.
• Knowledge of Oracle and HANA database architecture and administration for SAP.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of network protocols and system integration principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in new environments and across different projects.
• Willingness to travel for short, medium or long‑term assignments.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Degree or diploma in IT, electronics or a related field.
• Experience with databases such as SAP HANA, Oracle and SQL Server.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, HANA and SQL Server environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) in SAP contexts.

Compensation

The gross annual salary for this position ranges from €33,000 to €45,000 for the middle profile and from €46,000 to €55,000 for the senior profile. The final offer may be adjusted based on the candidate’s skills and experience beyond the required level. The role is covered by the CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria (CNEL code C011).
